Westlakers

Since 1968

The Westlakers was formed in 1968 when a group of local businessmen in Westlake Village, California wanted to create a local chapter of a national philanthropic group. Since Westlake Village was in its infancy, the large national organizations weren't interested and the gentlemen decided to form their own group.

Since those humble beginnings in 1968 the purpose of the club has been to serve our community and fellow man, and to provide fellowship among its members.

The club also raises funds for merit scholarships to be awarded to deserving high school seniors of Westlake High and Agoura Hills High. The major fund-raising for scholarships is accomplished through raffles and the assessment of members’ 'Fines' at luncheon meetings. These ‘Fines’ are for birthdays, purchase of new cars or homes, vacations, etc.

We have been awarding scholarships over the last 40 years. In 2020, we awarded nine scholarships of $2,000 each.
